Kindle Fire is my favorite ebook reader tablet but as I admit in my review there are some software problems like slow browser (Amazon claim that is a fast browser) or carousel privacy (anyone can see what app you use as the carousel history cannot be deleted).

But there are good news: Amazon prepare an important software update for Kindle Fire.

“In less than two weeks, we’re rolling out an over-the-air update to Kindle Fire,” said Drew Herdener, a company spokesman.

The fist available Kindle Touch jailbreak is done by a mp3 file due a security hole in ID3 tags. Yifan Lu add some script code in a mp3 ID3 tags file, upload the file into Kindle Touch music folder and play it. That’s all.

This Kindle jailbreak does not modify any existing files or do something magic… It only writes one single file in your Kindle but it is important that open the door for others modification in the future.

So, this jailbreak is symbolic one and is no side effects at all. You can do it by yourself if you are curious to see it.

There are 3 easy steps:
1. Download the mp3 file.
2. Upload it to your Kindle Touch music folder
3. Using the experimental menu play the mp3 file.
